Samsung Smart Learning Center

Samsung Smart Learning Center

Launched in Thailand in 2013, the Samsung Smart Learning Center program spanned across six academic years with 55 schools and thousands of students nationwide participating in the program.

The program aims to improve the country’s education system by providing resources and teacher training to schools with diverse student backgrounds. It establishes interactive learning centers equipped with technology, books, and internet connectivity, and implements Problem-Based Learning workshops and digital storytelling projects to foster 21st-century skills like creativity, critical thinking, and technology literacy.

The program has positively impacted students, teachers, and communities and has received positive feedback. Students have shown marked improvement in ICT, time management, communication, and collaboration skills. Teachers have also improved their facilitation skills. One notable example is a semester-long research project where an entire grade collaborated to find the most productive environment for raising frogs
